A shortlist of 4 bidders has been drawn up for the sale of Belfast City Airport, the Telegraph reports. The airport was put up for sale in May by Ferrovial, who are trying to reduce their debts after buying UK airports operator BAA.
There has been no comment from either Ferrovial or the airport on the reports, but it is suggested that they aim to complete the deal, which could be valued at £100m, by the end of October. At present Ferrovial is carrying out ‘due diligence’- checking the details of the bidders and their offers - and this process is expected to take a number of weeks.
