easyJet have announced a new route between Gatwick and Salzburg today. The route, which takes off on December 13 - just in time for the Ski season - will operate 3 times a week with fares from £32.99 one way including tax.
The new route will bring the number easyJet is to operate from Gatwick to 50 this winter. The budget airline expects over 16,000 passengers to travel on the new service.
A spokesman for easyJet said: ‘Salzburg is another exciting destination to add to our Gatwick network. We expect the route to be popular with passengers seeking both a city break or a great ski destination.'
‘easyJet has more flights to the snow from Gatwick this winter than any other airline. Salzburg joins other popular ski destinations such as Geneva, Innsbruck, Lyon and Sofia.’
