A flight from the Canary Islands to Glasgow Airport was delayed for 3 hours on Monday after a security alert, the BBC reports.
The Flyglobespan flight from Gran Canaria was delayed after cabin crew found three dismantled mobile phones on the plane after a flight to the island from Glasgow. The captain informed local police after the passengers had disembarked. The Guardia Civil conducted a search before the plane was delared safe.
A Flyglobespan spokesman told the BBC: ‘We apologise for the delay but the safety of passengers is our primary concern.’
