Route cuts by Ryanair will hit 4 routes from Liverpool Airport this winter. The airline will suspend flights to Budapest, Krakow, Palma and Valenciabetween November 4 and December 19, whilst flights from the budget airline's other UK airports to Basel, Rzeszow and Salzburg will also stop for the period.
A spokesman for Ryanair said that the 7 European airports are among their most expensive, and flights would not be viable when fares are at their lowest and fuel prices are at record highs. He said that passengers who have already booked flights to the airport will receive a refund.
Liverpool Airport spokesman Robin Tudor said: ‘These are challenging times within the aviation industry. No airline is immune from the effects of these high fuel costs.’
