Over 315,000 passengers will travel via Manchester Airport this weekend, its busiest this year. New security areas in Terminals 1 and 2 and state-of-the-art X-ray equipment will help cut down on queues.
Mike Fazackerley, Manchester Airport’s director of customer services, said: ‘The new facilities, extra staff and additional training for existing staff will help make sure everyone is ready for the busiest time of the year.’ The most popular summer destinations are Majorca, Tenerife, Alicante, Portugal, Cyprus and New York.
